Working On The Colors

Thinking of new signage and incorporating the door colors of the cottages by painting them blue and yellow.

Benny Moore Ballet White for the walls in Bay View.

Black Ink for the bead board cabinetry in the kitchenette. 

Pillow on the left is going into Centennial and would look equally as good in Sleeping Bear with the navy and white buffalo check bed skirt and valance. The pillow on the right is the Bay View color palette. 

Coverlet, in gold, for Sleeping Bear.

White voile sheers, coming out from under the checked valance. 

The buffalo checked bed skirt peeking out from under the gold coverlet. On my way over to measure!

Here are pictures, of painted entry doors, from my pinterest files. Think about the doors when you pull into the driveway. Do you want a bold color? The same color on every door? 

Chairs, Sofas And Fabric

Thinking about the two wing chairs, the camel back sofa, in Social Hall, and the four small arm chairs in the stripe linen. The Ikat fabric for pillows or valances.

Work the Rose Room around the new look/color using the sofa. The two wing chairs for an upstairs sitting arrangement for the Garden Room . The four small arm chairs in the Indigo Blue, I treat the color as a neutral, and can be worked in pretty much anywhere. You may recognize the stripe linen as we used it in brown on the chair in Centennial.

I was thinking about Sunset Lodge vs Sunset Cottages. It gives us a reason to decorate them cozy/lodge style instead of beachy cottage. Why call it Sunset Lodge? It faces the sunrise! Because at the day's end, sunset, you return to the lodge to rest your head. I would like to see some photos on the web site of the buildings in the late afternoon, early evening with the interior lamps on and a warm glow shinning out over the lawns. Something cozy and inviting after a long day of playing on the peninsula.

Good looking over the kitchen counter storage.

Compact, using dishwasher space for under the counter refrigerator.
